Development insights:

Life is a wilderness, not a track. The meaning of reading is to know a better self.

Time goes back to January 2023. At that time, I was confused and confused: Should I apply for a postgraduate degree or take a postgraduate entrance examination? Should I go to a German university or a British university? Is it to take the public examination or to find a job? At that time, I began to seriously think about my interests and goals, examine my strengths and weaknesses, and work hard to find the path that best suits me. I consulted many teachers and seniors, and they gave me a lot of valuable advice and experience. Through communication with them, I finally decided to study abroad.

After making my decision, I began to research the education systems, university rankings and majors in Germany, the UK and Australia to ensure I chose the school and major that best suited me. Intermediary teachers have come to me countless times to exchange information on school selection, major selection and other aspects. I was dazzled by the countless information. Faced with such complicated information, every choice I made seemed to have endless possibilities and potential risks, and I worried that I would not be able to make the right decision. At the same time, I was also faced with multiple pressures such as the Junior High School Entrance Examination, CET-6, computer exams, professional course exams, and IELTS exams. These exams required me to invest a lot of time and energy in preparation, and I also had to make school choices while ensuring that I passed the exams. At that time, my parents gave me unconditional support, and I gradually calmed down from the busy exam schedule. I listed out the schedule that required exams one by one and made a detailed plan to ensure that I could effectively prepare for and successfully complete each exam.

In September 2023, I started my postgraduate application submission. During this period, I determined the direction of applying for business and made many revisions to the content of the document with my application teacher. I believe that the most important thing in an essay is to demonstrate one's academic abilities, professional interests and future plans, and to highlight the compatibility between personal experience and the major applied for, so that the school can feel the applicant's enthusiasm for choosing a school, and avoid templates and Copy other people’s experiences. When applying, in addition to preparing documents and letters of recommendation, you should also pay attention to improving your internship experience and scientific research experience to increase the competitiveness of your application. Therefore, during this year, I published many papers, participated in scientific research competitions, and actively looked for internship opportunities to improve my practical experience. I was also conflicted about whether to retain my FOM student status, but I thought that I had already taken so many courses and could get two diplomas from China and Germany as long as I worked hard, so I chose to retain my student status. Unexpectedly, this choice actually had a positive effect on my application to the University of Warwick. When I applied to the University of Warwick, the school asked me to provide a certificate of enrollment at FOM University. At the same time, the con offer given to me by Warwick also clearly stated that I needed to submit a diploma from FOM University in exchange for a non-con offer. So, every choice on the application path matters.

Now, my application season is coming to an end. Although I was confused and anxious during the application process, I was very happy when I received the offer. In my opinion, the application season is like a marathon. You need firm willpower, careful preparation and long-lasting patience. You need to clarify your goals and advantages and make full use of them. Confusion is the normal state of life, and you may need to go through many tests in the days to come. However, as long as you do things when you are awake, read when you are confused, think when you are alone, be calm when you are frustrated, be indifferent when you are proud, focus when you are busy, and accumulate strength when you are free, You can turn your life into a beautiful landscape. Those who chase the light will eventually shine brightly!
