On the afternoon of Tuesday, March 19, 2024, a unique teaching seminar with the theme of curriculum ideological and political education was held in the German Teaching Department of our college. Liu Tiantian, secretary of the party committee of the college, Liu Yunyu, office academic staff, and all German teachers participated. At the meeting, teachers discussed in depth how to perfectly integrate ideological and political courses with German teaching to achieve the educational goal of cultivating people with moral integrity and educating people in all aspects. Secretary Liu emphasized the need to further strengthen the construction of ideological and political courses in the college and create a new ideological and political pattern of “one college, one product” with the characteristics of Sino-foreign cooperative education.

During the discussion session of collective lesson preparation, teacher Zhao Yujing sorted out the ideological and political elements in currently used German teaching materials and proposed innovative ideas for integrating Chinese culture and social values into German teaching. Afterwards, teachers held group discussions. Teacher Li Jia proposed the concept of parallel text, and Director Chen Danyu further explained this concept and emphasized the inspiring role of teachers in classroom teaching. She further emphasized that teachers should play more of a role as guides in German teaching, stimulating students' independent thinking ability by building topic frameworks and providing language and instrumental support. This view won the unanimous approval of all teachers.

In this theoretical study session of collective lesson preparation, young teacher Yu Jiali led everyone to deeply study the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the 2024 Spring Festival group visit. Through this theoretical study, everyone not only deepened their understanding of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech, but also gained a deeper understanding of the goals and tasks of pursuing progress while maintaining stability, implementing new development concepts, comprehensively deepening reforms, and promoting Chinese-style modernization in the coming year. .

In his concluding speech, Secretary Liu spoke highly of the hard work of teachers on the front line of teaching. She encouraged teachers to continue brainstorming, forming a system of good entry points, and condensing them into topics. At the same time, she communicated with teachers on how to integrate teaching management, student group management, and administrative management to form a big ideological and political pattern with the characteristics of Sino-foreign cooperative education at the college level. Secretary Liu also specifically mentioned that the importance of students' independent expression and broadening their horizons cannot be ignored. She hopes that teachers can teach with emotion, use their enthusiasm and professional knowledge to infect students, and stimulate their interest and motivation for independent learning.

The successful holding of this collective lesson preparation not only provided the German Teaching Department of our school with valuable experience and inspiration in the ideological and political aspects of the curriculum, but also inspired teachers to continue to explore new ways to integrate German teaching and ideological and political courses.
