To leverage the power of alumni, guide students to plan their academic careers reasonably, and support the high-quality development of the college, on December 17th, the International Exchange College held an alumni forum on 5N124. Inviting outstanding alumni from the 17th grade of the college, Cheng Zhitao, Zhang Jiarui, and Yang Haoyang, to share their experiences in German language learning, graduate studies, and employment with the students on campus. All students from the 23rd grade of the college, as well as those from the 21st and 22nd grades, will participate in this conference.
Cheng Zhitao's theme for this conference is Looking Forward to the Far Mountains. Starting from his studies, work, and extracurricular activities in school, he shared with students the achievements he has made in his four years of university. He pointed out that work experience and learning are equally important for students in universities. While student work enhances their own abilities, it also adds value to their future work. He hopes that his classmates can make good future plans, master a skill in addition to learning, and hone a strong heart and strong will through learning and work.
With the theme of waiting for the wind to come, it's better to follow the wind, Zhang Jiarui shared valuable experiences with his classmates from the application process, overseas postgraduate studies, to returning to China for employment, focusing on his own study and job seeking experiences. He suggested that students set their goals in advance for further education and research, create more opportunities in learning and student work, and actively pursue the trend. Whether it is on the path of learning or seeking employment, they should meet the light and walk under it.
Yang Haoyang brought his classmates a rich experience of studying abroad, including studying, living, traveling, and interpersonal communication. He conveyed the concept of traveling around the world, growing one's resume, and enriching oneself to his classmates, hoping that they can make good use of FOM University as a springboard, learn German well, go global, step into the waves, see farther seas, and become well-rounded young people in the new era.
The convening of this excellent alumni forum has provided valuable experience for the future development of students, fully leveraging the leading and exemplary role of excellent alumni, and helping students clarify their learning direction and make career plans.
