I believe you must be very nervous before leaving, there should be a lot of questions or concerns before going abroad, do not know after nine hours or even longer plane, what should be paid attention to, and what should be prepared. I believe that you should also read a lot of teachers about the overall introduction of living and studying here, and you should also find a lot of important information about luggage packing on the Internet. So here, I will give you a brief introduction, about you just arrived in Germany and before the beginning of the school period, should pay attention to some matters.

1. I don't know when all the flights will arrive. I remember a year ago, I got to Doucet late at night, and by the time I got home, it was almost 1 a.m. So the first suggestion for everyone is that if conditions allow, you must report to your parents after arriving at your dormitory. You can get an international calling card when you are in the country. But it may cost a little money and a little time, you can also a dormitory student jointly a card for public use. I believe that many people's houses have not yet done a good wireless network when they just arrived, but even if there is electricity and network, I believe that after 9 hours of travel and tens of kilograms of luggage toss, you should also be tired. So I think the mobile phone is a more convenient contact tool at this time, for the students who have not done a good network, during this period of time can also use this card to keep in touch with their parents, so that they do not have to worry. Once you are familiar with the city center of Essen, you can buy Ortel cards in the city center, which are cheaper to call home.

2. Coming home from the airport. The way we picked up was that those who lived in the school house were sent straight home, while those who lived in private houses were sent from the school from Doucet to the train station in the city of Essen, and then they could go home on their own. If you live in a private room, you can say hello to your landlord or a friend of yours and ask them to meet you at the train station. Because the school housing is more concentrated, the school car can be delivered at one time. The location of the residence of the private house is too loose, and we must be considerate in this regard. I don't think there will be much change this year. We can send a representative to write an email to ask the teacher in Germany to confirm this matter.

3. Home. Before arriving home, the person in charge of the German airport will send each student a large-scale map of the center of Essen and the campus. The map marks some important places that will be visited frequently in the coming days. Like train stations, like Deutsche Bank. On the second day after arriving in Essen, we should go to Campus H, which is reported by Herkulesstr. There will be a special person at the school to explain the various procedures to go through, so you must keep the map in your hand, at least on the second day to find the school is very useful. At least you can't get lost without knowing where you're going. Even if the German is not good enough, you can still point to directions. At that time, a few of us girls asked all the way to FOM. In addition, when picking up the airport, the German teacher also sent us a packet of instant noodles, which was prepared in view of the fact that everyone had just arrived and had nothing to eat. It is worth mentioning that the tap water in Germany can be directly drunk, if the home is not equipped with an electric kettle, you can directly open the tap to drink water. Of course, students who are more sensitive to the stomach should still be cautious.

4. Home to school. Most of the students from their own Wohnung to the school are required to take a bus to arrive, because the second day after arrival, you have to go to the school to report, so everyone must travel to use the ticket. Travel in Germany is a very serious issue, be sure to buy tickets in advance, it is best not to take chances (especially like me, a sui child, just two months have been checked nearly 20 times......) . Once taking a black car is investigated, the price is very heavy. After arriving in Essen, the German teacher who picked us up at the airport had already bought each of us an Einzelticket in advance, which is the legendary ticket. Until now, I still have the first ticket after coming to Germany. Remember to get tickets before you get on the bus. Using this ticket can help us get on a nearby bus without having to buy it at the ticket machine, so that we can successfully report to the school. Of course, remember to pay the final ticket to the relevant teacher.

The above is about what you should pay attention to when you just arrived at the airport and when you go home. As for the various matters that should be paid attention to or related procedures after arriving at the school, such as insurance, bank, car card and so on, I will introduce it next time. I hope my language skills will be acceptable and helpful to you. It should be noted that what I am describing now is a procedure that I went through a year ago. Perhaps some details will be adjusted for different situations at each level. But there was no nervousness or anxiety. I believe that for those of you who have just stepped into a foreign country, the school is fully prepared. The most important thing is that you have a safe and smooth year here.

The final advice to everyone is: step by step, everything will be solved. There is no need or need to be anxious during this time. This is not helpful for going abroad. I've always believed that there's a way out. Whatever the problem, there are people around to help. Good luck with your trip to Germany.
