1. Would you please introduce the College of International Exchange of Shandong Agricultural University?
A: The College of International Exchange of Shandong Agricultural University is the first batch of Chinese-foreign cooperative undergraduate education institutions officially approved by the Shandong Provincial government and the Ministry of Education. It is a cooperation between Shandong Agricultural University of China and Essen University of Applied Technology for Economic Management in Germany. The license number of the Ministry of Education is MOE37DEA02DNR20030057O.
The college has three undergraduate majors, namely International Economics and Trade, Business administration and accounting, with a four-year academic system. The first and third academic years are spent in Shandong Agricultural University, China. In the fourth academic year, students who pass the test will study in Germany for one year in accordance with relevant regulations. In the first academic year, I mainly completed German intensive learning, including basic skills such as listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating, and completed moral education, physical education and some public basic courses offered by Shandong Agricultural University. In the second and third academic years, students will complete the basic courses of the professional course. The courses are taught in German by German teachers, using the original German teaching materials and the German teaching and examination mode. In the fourth academic year, I will study professional courses in Germany and complete the graduation thesis writing and graduation defense. Mutual credit recognition is implemented for the courses of both China and Germany, and qualified students can obtain the bachelor's degree certificate and bachelor's degree certificate issued by Shandong Agricultural University and the bachelor's degree certificate issued by the University of Economics and Management in Essen, Germany.
2. Could you introduce the basic information about the University of Economics and Management in Essen, Germany?
A: Essen University of Economics and Management (FOM University), located in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, was founded in 1993. It is jointly organized by the Essen Entrepreneurs' Association, the Retail Trade Association, the Federation of Wholesale and Foreign Trade Industries, and the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Essen - Muhlheim-Oberhausen). These institutions represent key German companies in the energy supply, retail and services, chemical and glass manufacturing and metal power sectors, ranging from local small and medium-sized enterprises to large multinational conglomerates. At present, FOM University, headquartered in Essen, has developed into one of the largest economic management universities in Germany, covering the fields of economics, management, law, science, engineering and other disciplines, with 10 certified research institutions and 11 research centers, highlighting the school's applied research characteristics. The school has established branch schools in 29 cities such as Berlin, Bochum, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Koln, Munchen, and Vienna, Austria.

4. Is German difficult to learn? What percentage of students go abroad? What is the percentage of students with degrees from both Chinese and German schools?
A: To be realistic, German is the foundation and guarantee for the successful completion of four years of university study. Although German is a more difficult language to master, it is in the same family as English, so there are similarities in learning. The difficulty and essence of German lies in grammar, which is the strength of Chinese students. Everything is difficult at the beginning. As long as students work hard, pay attention to learning methods and skills, and apply them flexibly in their daily learning life, it is not difficult to master this language. The passing rate of the first grade German language examination is more than 90%.
Among the graduates of the 15th class, the proportion of students going abroad is about 85%; About 75% of the graduates received a bachelor's degree from both China and Germany.
5. Can I take English as an elective?
A: Due to the tight schedule and heavy academic tasks of the Sino-German program at the School of International Exchange, English courses are not offered. Even so, there are still some students who spare time to learn English, and the passing rate of college English Band 4 when they graduate is about 70%. Every year, some students successfully apply for master's degree programs in English-speaking countries (such as the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, etc.).
6. Can you introduce the employment situation of previous graduates?
A: Up to now, the college has successfully graduated 15 classes and 3452 students. Among them, about 60% of the graduates pursue postgraduate studies in well-known universities at home and abroad (University of Mannheim, University of Bayreuth, University of Hamburg, University of Cologne, University of Jena, University of Leeds, University of Sheffield, University of Sydney, Australia, etc.). As well as domestic universities such as Tongji University, Shandong University, Ocean University of China, University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Shanghai International Studies University), about 25% work in foreign enterprises such as Volkswagen, Siemens, banks and financial systems, petrochemical enterprises, about 10% are admitted to the national, provincial or municipal civil servants or public institutions, about 5% choose to start their own businesses. A: We plan to enroll 250 students this year, and there is no limit to the selection of subjects. 8. Is there any change in the major of admission this year?
A: This year, we will enroll 60 students in international economics and trade, 50 students in business administration and 140 students in accounting. In the second year, eligible students can make a second choice in the College's three majors. The enrollment of the three majors is unlimited.
Students majoring in International economics and trade should practice socialist core values, have good ideological quality and moral cultivation, master the basic knowledge, basic theories and methods of economics and economic and trade majors, be familiar with internationally accepted economic and trade rules, understand and grasp the operation mechanism and development law of domestic and foreign economy and trade, and be proficient in 1-2 foreign languages. 9. Are there any special requirements for candidates?
A: In view of the special educational mode and learning characteristics of this program, as well as the specifications and requirements for talent training, candidates should have certain foreign language learning ability and interest, and be able to withstand heavy learning tasks.
10. What is the general arrangement of four-year college teaching?
A: According to the teaching plan, in the first academic year, the school provides intensive German training for students, with an average of no less than 30 German class hours per week, and about 1,200 German teaching hours, and offers Chinese public basic courses such as moral education and physical education. According to the characteristics and requirements of language training, the school adopts a small-class teaching method to fully ensure the quality and progress of German learning.
In the second and third years, students will complete the basic professional courses. All German courses are taught by German teachers in German, and the teaching mode of professor lecturing + assistant tutoring is adopted. The original German teaching materials and German teaching and examination mode are adopted.
