The School of International Exchange held an education deployment meeting on the theme of studying and implementing Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era

At the meeting, disciplinary inspector Zhong Jie conveyed the spirit of the provincial party committee and school meetings;    

Carrying out this thematic education is of great significance for promoting the whole party to have a deeper understanding of the decisive significance of the Two Foundations, and to consciously enhance the Four Consciousnesses, strengthen the Four Confidences, and achieve the Two Safeguards. The front line of universities bears the significant responsibility of educating people for the Party and the country, cultivating new talents to shoulder the great responsibility of national rejuvenation, and ensuring the inheritance of the Party and the country's cause. This is also the political responsibility that higher education needs to shoulder.

Li Wei put forward four requirements on how to carry out theme education well: first, to shape the soul through learning.   The second is to enhance intelligence through learning. Deeply grasp the worldview and methodology of the Six Adherences, integrate the Party's innovative theory into classroom teaching, do a good job in classroom ideological and political education, promote student growth, and be a good teacher of the Four Haves.

The third is to learn from a positive attitude. Further give full play to the exemplary role of Communist Party members, practice their original aspirations and missions in their positions, hone their political character, practice their sense of purpose, improve their work style, demonstrate noble virtues, and achieve integrity, self-discipline, and self-improvement in their learning and life. The fourth is to promote work through learning. Put effort into promoting action through learning and combining learning with application. Party members and department level cadres conduct special investigations and research in conjunction with their own work, and each party branch solidly carries out activities such as I Contribute Good Strategies for Development, I Build New Merits for Development, I Do Practical Things for the People, and volunteer service activities, transforming learning outcomes into positive forces for doing their own work well, promoting career and personal development, actively fulfilling their duties and responsibilities, and daring to take on responsibilities.

Li Wei emphasized that running socialist universities with Chinese characteristics well, implementing the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents, and adhering to the socialist direction of education are fundamental and cannot be shaken at any time. Theme education provides further political impetus and guarantees for the implementation of the fundamental task of cultivating morality and nurturing talents. I hope that all party members can gain theoretical knowledge, increase their faith, and motivate themselves in action during this theme education, further unify their thinking, gather consensus, take the initiative to take on responsibilities, ensure the implementation of the central task of cultivating morality and talents, and achieve quality and efficiency improvement in the development of the college's connotation, contributing to the construction of a first-class agricultural university
